  • Sara McLeroy


    A graduate of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (AA in Education), after graduating from high school in Anaheim, CA, Mrs. McLeroy has a passion for educating our youth in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. She is a veteran in the U.S. Air Force (receiving the rank of Sergeant), has taught in the the home, in the day care, at the public school, as well as here at Union Christian Academy for many years. She is an active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bowman, GA, teaching 1st and 2nd grade Sunday school, and has been happily married for over 40 years. She is also the mother of two and grandmother of two.

  • Rebecca Jones

    1st - 2nd Grade

    Mrs. Jones has been involved in Christian education as a teacher's aide and a teacher for nearly thirty years, serving schools in North Carolina for ten years and here at Union Christian Academy for nearly twenty. It brings her joy to teach children from Pre-K to 2nd grade. Her aim is to encourage their natural love for learning and to give them a good start in their education. Most importantly, she wants these children to understand that God loves them and has a plan for their lives.

    Key Verse: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer a supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 NASB)

  • Vicki Dougherty

    3rd - 5th Grade

    Mrs. Dougherty received her education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Texas A&M University, and University of Texas, Arlington. Offering a lifetime of experience in industry, education, non-profit, legal, and private settings, she has been teaching with Union Christian Academy since 2016, and was a substitute teacher for many years before that in Clarke and Madison Counties. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Dougherty is very active at Winterville First Baptist Church, leading the choirs, teaching Sunday School, women's ministry, mission trips, and many other things. She has also been active in publishing devotionals and articles for local newspapers.

  • Taylor Sexton


    A native of Madison County (Danielsville), Taylor has a passion for providing quality, self-consciously Christian education for the place he calls home. Taylor received a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Piedmont College (summa cum laude, 2014) in Demorest, GA and a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (summa cum laude, 2018) in Deerfield, IL. Taylor lives in Ila, GA with his beautiful wife Sophia and their dog, Hayley.
